Power lock won't lock completely

Hi guys, I have a quick question... Hopefully somebody has had this problem... I tried a search but I can't find anything like this...
My problem is that when I lock my doors with the driver side switch (or passenger) all the doors seem to lock... But if I try to open them the still open about a quarter to half an inch and the light turns on... I can't seem to get them to fully lock! Even the lock by the door handle seats about half way an not in the locked position... It seems like the power lock doesn't have enough power to lock them! How can I test this?
