I finished my swap last night and got here today to start putting the engine together. Everything is hooked up so its time to start the car i turn the key and i turns but wont fire, it'll sound like it almost fires then keeps turning. I believe its the timing but it sounds like my timing is way off! Im calling it a day for no and returning tomorrow to recheck timing.
Details: I followed brydon merge guide with the 98 ecu pinout sheet since he was working on a 99-01.
Motor had blow gasket when i bought it and i rebuilt it myself (first time) thus why i can believe my timing is off!
Had one issue when merging wiring the relays were turning on then off and repeating and noticed the relay testing plug was connected (WOW) other then that im 87.9% sure wiring is correct!
Any ideas? ill redo timing tomorrow let me know what you guys think any help is gonna make it a lot easier
