Hey Everybody, this is one of the saddest days of my life, but it has to happen... I've been an RS owner and member of this forum FOREVER and it's finally time to sell my beloved RS. I love it, but the coin is becoming more important than the car. Anyway, here is the scoop:
BEAUTIFUL 2000 Impreza RS Coupe! (149,500 miles) This car has been my pride and joy for almost a decade. I've taken extraordinarily good care of it and maintained it meticulously. It's gotten new synthetic oil (Royal Purple or occasionally Castrol Syntec) and a new Subaru factory filter every 3000 miles. I just had the timing belt and water pump changed. It has a new transmission, new clutch, fork, pressure plate and flywheel, new AC compressor, new cruise control unit, new radiator and thermostats, new air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires and a new battery. I upgraded the front seats with (more comfortable, more stylish) ones from a WRX. I also put in an in-dash CD changer from a WRX. This car has never been raced or abused. It'll be hard to tell from the picture, but the engine is (and always has been) extremely clean. Like I said, I have taken great care of this car.
The body is in great shape for a car that's 14 years old, and has only fairly minor issues here and there. The front bumper has the usual tiny chips from garbage on the freeway. The rear bumper has a scrape on the left rear corner from where some wanker brushing it with his car. There are a few chips on the right side rear bumper and a few other miscellaneous dings here and there. The biggest issue with the body is that the clearcoat is blotchy on the spoiler (the paint is good, it's the clearcoat that needs a little TLC). Overall, this thing is GORGEOUS!
Issues with the car:
Like I mentioned, there are dings here and there. The car needs new tires (especially fronts; the backs aren't too bad). Every once in a while, it throws a catalytic converter code that turns itself off after a little while. It passed smog with flying colors, so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. In fact, it hasn't thrown the code in a couple months. Anyway, I took it to my mechanic (best mechanic in the IE) and he said that it'll need a new catalytic converter if the light comes on and stays on, but it's fine for a now. It may need the work in the future, or it may not, only time will tell. Either way, it's a very, very easy and quick fix.
