Hi Guys. Hoping you can help me out. I have a swapped GC using a GD
STI radiator. The upper radiator hose started leaking due to the lower part of the hose rubbing against a pulley. I'm sure it's pretty common since there is not much room for the hose. I replaced the hose and refilled the radiator core, coolant reservoir, and overflow tank with new coolant. Drove the car home and the temps were normal. At a stop, smoke would start coming off the radiator. I figured it was just the spilled coolant burning off. Seemed like the fans took forever to turn on, but they did. Just wondering if the burnoff / smoke is normal. Does it take a long time to go away? Once the car was cool, I used a water hose to spray off any coolant on the radiator and engine bay. I started it again, went to normal operating temp and the radiator started to 'smoke' again. Not too much but very visible. Smelled like coolant.
There are no leaks, no overheating, and the coolant levels are all fine. Am I worried about nothing?
