Project RS20K 05 251 to 03 20K

Hows it going guys! Its been quite a while since Ive posted on here. Having 2 RS's I figured i should quit being lazy and show some RS lovin'! Quick history. I bought my 03 RS BRP @ 180k miles. at 249k, the HGs blew and i rebuilt the entire longblock. Well i sent out the heads for inspection. Needless to say, doing my own work from now on. 10k on fresh rebuild, i pulled heads and noticed valves and cams were not properly inspected. Ordered entire new valvetrain (valves, cams, springs, spring seats, retainers, keeper, valve seats) This weekend ill be finishing my 03 251 heads and driving my 03 again! been toooo long! thats my 03 of which i plan to keep as RS and reliable for 200k miles to come. NOW, the 05 RS i recently bought

I bought the 05 RS @189k.....with its original timing belt!!! belt snapped and killed the motor. what a score for me! I bought this busted 251 with the intentions of running a 2003 JDM WRX 20K motor in it! Long story short, im doing a full JDM 20K>USDM 205 WRX swap for a buddy and he is giving me complete 20K motor swap as payment. Sooo i needed a car to run it in. That is where the 05 RS came into play. My plan with the 20K is to build a full track/auto X beast with it. I have stripped the interior and will running a full custom build cage to pass FIA inspection. Going to be building a JDM STI 5speed PAR gearset at first, then building a straight dog box! Ill be adding as much pics to this thread as possible as i carry on with the build. Enjoy!
