So on Monday (4/28/14) i got back into the Subie word. My own 98 OBS
I promised myself i wouldnt get another subie unless it was a wagon.
Sure this particular one isnt much of a gem. kinda like a diamond in the rough.
Heres some info on the wagon:
*215k on the clock
*phase 1 ej22 5mt awd (dur)
*timing belt and water pump done at 202k
*original clutch but still grabs high (noisy throw out bearing though)
*needs passenger side front axle replaced (getting it friday)
*needs front passenger airbag replaced (getting it friday)
*has a ding in the front passenger door
*passenger fender doesnt line 100% because of a deer (id say its about 85% lined up)
*dirty interior.. plan to get a steam cleaner soon and take care of that
*had a powerbass subwoofer and amp installed. currently sitting in the garage (not my style)
*small valvecover leak-prev owner said about 1/6 a quart every 3k miles so im gonna keep my eye on it and make sure)
and now onto some nicer things:
*WRX struts (06-0
*Tein S- Tech lowering springs (looking to get rid of em for matching WRX springs
*RS headlights
*Custom made UEL header
*No CAT
*SPT muffler
*CWEST front bumper (not my style [scrape on everything..] getting rid of it thursday for an L bumper and some cash from a buddy
*Yakima roof rack wind fairing
And to the small list of things ive done to it so far:
*installed RS shift knob
*installed MOMO steering wheel
*my girlfriend put on my old truck nuts onto it (funny and im keeping em haha)
*installed my V2 alum hood with grill and headlights to see how i like it. i *MIGHT* keep it. got an offer to trade it for an RS alum hood so idk yet
Things i plan to do soon:
*turn crown royal bag into shift boot (if i can find it)
*vacuum and steam clean EVERYTHING inside
*remove tiny OEM mudguards (tore up and i wanna see mud fling haha)
*might remove roof rack crossbars
*fix valve cover leak
*fix axle
*replace airbag
*tune up: air filter, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, O2 sensor (rear is going bad), oil and filter
*coolant flush, tranny and rear diff fluid change (when needed as needed)
*brakes and rotors as needed
So for now, thats a sum up. I took a couple pics last night so ill toss those up and let you guys check it out, i need to get more during the day.
Plans for it are to have a fun, reliable, DD/toy (offroading and beach trips)

That curb picture.. thats the lowest curb in my area...
The gauge light was installed by prev owner, i like it personally as its not as bright as picture makes it seem, its a nice, subtle white. Forgot to take some pics of the interior but ill do that after a warm day so i can clean it first.
