Thanks in advance guys. I've searched far and wide but there are way too many variables and setups to get confused with.
I have a 99 2.5 RS with ABS and a OEM pad/rotor setup. The only non stock items are goodridge ss brake lines.
I will be upgrading to some WRX parts soon, but have heard various accounts of what results in a mushy/soft pedal.
Parts on the way:
-Grimmspeed master cylinder brace
-Motul RBF600
-H6 rear brackets
-H6 rear powerslot rotors/Stoptech street pads
Parts acquired
-Stoptech ST40 big brake kit front (02-05 WRX spec) w/Stoptech street pads
-Stoptech 320mm slotted front rotors
In the end I would like to "avoid" changing the master cylinder if I can get away with it.
I had ordered an 97 SVW 2 port ABS master cylinder, but cancelled it once I found out that I would need to swap out to a single stage brake booster.
I was told by a vendor on this site that the WRX/STi MC is a direct drop in except for bending the brake line 90 degrees from the side to the top. I would like to avoid this unless someone has documented the process with pictures. I know that the 98 RS has the correct brake line, but that doesnt seem worth the trouble either.
Any input is apreciated.
