So I've been doing some searching on the forums here, but I haven't come up with a definitive answer regarding my questions, so I'm going to try to ask it more specifically here. My issue is that I keep getting a solid CEL for Cylinder 2 misfire, p0302.
I found some information that suggested that the flywheel causes a blinking light, not necessarily a solid one, so I was hoping someone might be able to clear that up.
To be specific: Does a lightened flywheel cause a flashing or solid check engine light (or both) and would it be consistently on the same cylinder?
I suppose the same question goes for delta cams: Do cams cause flashing CELs or solid (or both) on the same cylinder?
I know all builds are different, but I would really appreciate some input before I go digging into my engine too far.
The code came up after a headgasket/plugs/wires/flywheel/cams/timing belt/knock sensor installation. So there is a variety of things here. Going to try re-tightening cyl 2 spark plug today.
So if you have experience with the check engine lights related to either delta cam 1500s or lightweight flywheels, please post up!
Thanks for the help!
