Hey all,
I'm hoping to get clarification on exhaust diameters.
The general consensus around is that 2.25" exhaust diameter is the ideal for 2.5L n/a applications. However, all these ebay headers that I come across have 2" outlets! (I'm trying to go super budget build, diy magnaflow exhaust/cat, so I'm avoiding the real Borlas and Tsudos)
My question is, if I am running a 2.25" cat/midpipe/muffler, is the 2" header outlet going to make a significant difference in terms of flow and power?
My initial thought goes back to a friend saying that "the lowest flowing section is the limiting factor", so I am inclined to continue my search for a 2.25" header outlet, but I'm feeling desperate for boxer rumble!
Thanks for the help!
