Alright guys I've researched on here for the past couple of weeks (no, the search bar is not broken:orly:) but I can't seem to figure this out. My car (2005 RS) started acting up not too long ago with a rough idle and raspy exhaust tone, something that pointed towards a bad catalytic converter, but upon checking the codes only one error popped up and that was a misfire on cylinder 4. I checked it out and found out that the plug boot on cylinder 4 was barely connected and that the plug was loose in the block. I replaced all of the plugs and wires and now it runs like normal...except for the fact that it stalls constantly. On a cold start it idles normally (my normal warm up idle is 1500 rpm and when it's warm it drops down to about 1000 and yes I AM reading my tach correctly) but now when it's warm it will drop down to 500-750 rpm which is pretty low for my normal and whenever I push in the clutch or shift to neutral to come to a red light or stop sign the engine just dies. It will start back up normally but again low idle until the next stop. When I'm on the gas or just coasting in gear it runs fine: power is normal and it sounds normal, and there is no hesitation or sign of low idle. The CEL is not on until it stalls, then it shows a solid amber, but when I restart the car it shuts off. Could it be coming on just because the ECU is recognizing that 'hey, this engine should still be running right now' because my parking brake light comes on as well even when the brake is disengaged. I've heard that adding exhausts and intakes shouldn't matter with a N/A and that '00 and up have a 'learning ECU' for bolt-ons? I'm at a loss here and have no idea what to check next. Sensors would normally throw a CEL right? I just don't want to blindly be buying parts for this thing just to not fix the problem and am trying to avoid those costly garage charges haha. Thanks in advance everyone and I'm sorry if this thread seems redundant.
