After 7K miles on my 04 STI swap the first issue has appeared. The ECU will go into limp mode and I can only build wastegate boost. Ive tried to reset the ECU with the AccessPort. After a few miles it will do it again. Ive done some datalogging.
Ive noticed that Im getting knock as high as -6 under "full" boost. Also, Im running the cobb ACN 91 map. Cobb states target boost at around 16.5psi. It appears that Im not even hitting that. The only engine modification I have is a Gimmick 3'' catback. Plugs were changed to oem NGKs about 2k miles ago.
This log shows the very moment it triggers the limp mode.
What could be causing this severe condition? I welded the heatshields to eliminate any rattling, thinking it was possibly reading outside knock. Didn't solve it.
