I Recently bought a 2000 RS as my first car. The PO worked as a Subaru Mechanic and did the following about 500mi before selling the car to me: Head gaskets, Valves, Retainers, Timing Kit. I bought the car with the intent of swapping the motor and transmission so the 221,000mi it has on it doesn't really bother me!

After the 3 hour ride home, I quickly started cleaning it up! I have had the car for about a month and half now and coming up on 3500mi. I have not had a single mechanical issue, no CEL, passed inspection no problem. I will need a new battery in the near future as the current one will die after having the key on for 10 minutes or so.
My plan is to make the body right first and then work on swapping the motor and transmission. I have already made some progress, so I will try to catch you guys up to how the car sits currently!
