Hey there,
New to the site, I just picked up a 2000 2.5RS last night. Always loved the body styling of these cars. I also own a 2005 WRX, which will be stored in the garage this coming winter (fairly modded, coilovers, full exhaust, etc.). Thus the reason why I purchased this car!
It has some things done to it already, good and bad, which is part of the reason I'm posting up here. The following is what I know:
250k on the body
110k on motor
Head gasket done 30k ago
Stage 3 racing clutch
Catless, 3 inch catback exhaust
K&N cold air intake
Tinted tail lights
Lots of stupid stickers that will be coming off asap
Will definitely need rocker work, front rotors, and a new windshield. Rear quarter rust was done but I'm afraid it will come back again quickly.
I want to replace that 'hot' air intake with a stock airbox system asap. How much do those run for, and where is the best place to get one?
Something I noticed is that I don't see the mileage of the car anywhere. It doesn't display anything where it is supposed to be, unless I'm really missing something.
Anyway, still very new and will be learning a lot. Let me know what you think and where I should start.
