Okay so I just picked up a 1996 legacy outback wagon, 5spd for $200. This came with the maf ej22. Already had my 1999 impreza L sedan, with the map ej22. I know the wiring harnesses for the engines are different which is why I mention.
Im curious if the 5mt from the lob wagon will swap in, I know the trans and diff need to match and both are good from the donor. I don't know if there is a size difference I would need to worry about in regards to the drive shaft. I know that theres a difference between the auto shaft and the manual shaft, but I don't know between leggy wagon/ impreza sedan what will work and what wont. If I can simply use whats available from the donor and accomplish the 5spd swap Id be very happy.
