EG33 Turbo 1.0 Journal don't expect more updates till later on
The plan, EG33 turbo somesing somesing.
EG33
- Swain tech coated OE pistons
- Cometic MLS HG
- rotated manifold for sexyness
- Grimmspeed P1 Phenolics
- New OE piston rings
Turbo
- Holset HX40/35, parallel orientation with hood scoop
- Tial 44mm external WG
- repurposed OE exhaust manifold 2-1 2.5" outlet, vband into T3/4 flange
- most likely another custom 3" exhaust, maybe 3.5? too much?
- weld everything
- repurposed twin turbo IC, single entry, dual exit
Electronics
- FIC 8
- MIL-spec custom engine harness
- Nissan 480-500cc side feeds
Dassit for now, first goal is to use OE block as much as possible. BazzaSTi used to run a GT35R'd stock EG33 @ 16PSI pushing 400whp with I believe a change of HG and head studs, my goal would be along the lines of 10psi until I get a STi 6-speed. 10 psi will still be nice and good for 350whp and a nice early torque curve. Holset turbos are actually pretty happy around 20psi but are still good in the lower end of the spectrum AND they're less expensive than say BW or Garretts.
