So.... I have an opportunity to possibly move out to WA state from the DC area as a dealer in Spokane and a dealer in Seattle are hiring. I know absolutely no one, and other than playing tourist in WA I've never been out there for any significant amount of time. I've seen unemployment is pretty decently low in Seattle, and Spokane is higher than the national average.
Few questions
What's the worst weather I may see? DC has tropical storms and a hurricane every few years or so along with a snowstorm but it's pretty mild overall.
What's the winters look like in Seattle and Spokane? How quickly are roads cleared when it does snow?
How many high end german luxury cars are there in either Seattle or Spokane?
How bad was the economy and all during the recession? In DC I barely noticed aside from what i heard about on the news.
What are areas to avoid in either Seattle or Spokane? Places where I would need to be armed or something yanno? I dunno where to look at apartments and such at.
How is traffic? For anyone that's possibly driven during DC/NYC rush how comparable is it?
How diverse is the community in either city?
Crime in either city from a personal view? I can read statistics all day but it still won't REALLY answer my question.
How are road conditions in either city? About average for a city or are they neglected all to hell cause of funding like NYC and DC?
Thanks for any guidance you guys can give. Hopefully they can make me a decent offer and I'll try out a new area for a while.
