im looking to install HID's for my foglights but i see that the back cover seals the whole unit so i was wondering if anyone installed HID's into them and how they did it.

FS (USA,NY): Silver '04 BBS's with conti extremecontact dw summer tires
I have a set of silver '04 BBS's with tires (continental extremecontact DW). The tires have a bit less than 2 summers on them, and probably less than 5k miles (I have a short commute). Tread depth is about 0.30" (9-10/32).
The wheels are in pretty good condition, I'd say about 7/10 with minor curb rash. The wheels are pretty dirty in the pics. I also have a damaged 5th wheel without center cap that I will include. A shop stripped/damaged the wheel studs and as a result the wheel came loose and egged out a couple of the mounting holes. There's also scraping on the inside of the wheel from rubbing on the brake caliper.
The set is located in Rochester, NY. Not interested in any trades. I'd like $1200 for the set, picked up.

2005 2.5 RS Wagon
Welcome to my journal for my 2005 2.5 rs wagon!
First time subaru owner and bought this car with 286,000 kms on it. The engine was rebuilt and the clutch replaced 2 years ago, so I hope she has some life left in her. The car is rust free, either than some chips on the hood/front fenders (looking at ways to solve those from spreading.)
So far since buying the car 3 weeks ago I have purchased the following:
- Borla rep UEL headers and fibre glass heat wrap.
- OBX Cat back exhaust (Cat converter was replaced last year so depending on wear I will stick with it stock.)
- Some cheap double din dvd/ipod/touchscreen/gps thing (was 140 bucks so I hope it just works and charges my phone atleast.)
- Kartboy long and short hangers (bought both depending on how the exhaust sits.)
- Rally armour flaps
Yet to install any of these because of a busy schedule and will have a professional mechanic do most of the work.
Was nervous buying a car with so many KM's but so far I've put 2000+ kms on it with no immediate problems!

FS (USA,CA): Ej22e disassembled block
I have a ej22e short block that needs to be bored and deck. I just got it cleaned because when it was in the machine shop I had an emergency so I could only afford the cleaning. Crank is still in good condition, nothing that catches a finger nail. One set of rods I bought from someone here that took apart a very good running block. The other came from this short block.
The block suffered from timing failure but since its a phase 1 block, its a non - interface so no bent valves. I will get pictures added to this post once I get to the computer. PM me for my number and I cant text you the pictures instead

2.5rs to EJ205 intake question
Ok so now that the scoobie is almost all swapped and getting close to being done i have found that i have a stock air intake and that just wont do. its ugly, its stupid and its in the way making my engine bay look retarded. So what i am wanting to know is
For my 99 2.5rs what short ram and what cold air intake is compatible for the swap? can I use a 02-05 wrx cold air/ short ram or what. searched for intake and of course all that came up was about swapping the intake manifolds lol.

- 5 x 100 bolt pattern
- From 2000/2001 model year Impreza 2.5rs
- Fits over 4-pot brakes (fits all WRX including 06/07, 22b)
- Comes with original Bridgestone Potenza RE92 size 205/55/16 with 80% tread left (took the rims and tires off shortly after buying the car).
Those who know about these wheels know that these are hard to come by and are in high demand because of the added width and usability over the standard 02-05 WRX wheels. They fit 2006/2007 WRX's and allows the older rexes to run Subaru 4-piston brakes, and can fit 225 width tires without the added weight of a larger diameter rim - all while looking stock.

2013 full sti swap into 2001 RS coupe questions
I hope I'm putting this in the right location and I apologize if I'm not. My cup is empty and I need it filled lol. I bought my RS with intent on an sti swap but until now I've only considered 05-07 donor vehicles. Recently I stumbled upon a wrecked 2013 and can get it for a decent price. I need to know if hubs diff steering rack and suspension components are still interchangeable with the newer years? Or any other problems I may run into from using a donor this new. Dual avcs and 13:1 would be sweet! I've researched swaps a million times but can't find one where someone used this model as a donor for a gc. Thanks in advance

company on ebay has rebuilt jdm ej20 sohc engines, and they claim everthing off my 2001 ej25 will bolt up, intake, exhaust, even wiring and ecu. That sound right????

01 RS Build
Alright guys, so I've been on here for a while, but have never introduced myself or what I drive.
So I picked up the car 3/18/12 as a bare shell/roller. Brought it home and let it set for a few months. Once it got warmer out, I started to swap everything from my 97l into this shell (Got T-boned in the 97). It took me about a week to get everything moved over. After a few months I started to get rod knock in the 2.5 I ha din the car, so I decided it was time to swap. I picked up a full 04 WRX swap (engine, wiring, dash etc). It took me a week and a day to do the whole swap. Engine came modified with a VF39, STi dark blues and a bunch of other goodies. I went right to a front mount cuz I loved the way they looked.
I drove the car like that for about a year and decided it was time to get some more power. I parked the car for the winter (2013/14) and pulled the motor. Changed the turbo to a JDM IHI VF30 with a Grimmspeed EWG Up Pipe and a Tial MV-R waste gate. Custom front mount piping with a reverse mount Intake manifold. Boomba fuel rails and distribution block and custom SS Braided lines. Got tuned and made 281 AWHP at Kinetic motorworks.
So I drove the car that way for another year. Decided I wanted more power. Bought some ID 1000 injectors to prep for a Speed density tune. I put the injectors in and brought the car to the tuner to have him adjust for the injectors and maybe pull a little extra power on my open-source tune. I ended up maxing out the stock maf at 281.5 AWHP. So the plan at this point is to finish setting up for the SD and get that tune done this summer. (2015)
