EJ20 Dual Thrust Bearing?

Hey everyone,

So the main bearings in my ej20K let go and wreaked havok on my crankshaft. I had a spare phase 2 EJ22 kicking around and stole the crank shaft out of it. I know that the 20K is phase 1 and the 22 is phase 2 but the crankshaft fits inside the 20K.

I know i can get my 20K block machined to accept a position 5 thrust but I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to run both a position 3 and 5 thrust? If not, is it possible to run just a regular bearing on my #3 journal despite it being machined for a thrust bearing?
