Safari roof rack question

I am in the process of purchasing a safari roof rack with 4 hella 500 wired foglights. However i am a little hesitant of the fitment. The seller listed the dimemsions as 50x40. Will that be too wide and/or long for my GC sedan?? More concerned about the width (the rack hanging too far over the edge)......anyone have any experience or know about the dimensions :confused:
