Not sure if I am posting this in the right area..so excuse me if I post this here.
My rear wheel bearing I suspected was going bad..so I took it to the mechanic he thought the same, but when he took it apart to inspect it he said the spindle was shot I believe he said broken somehow said the bearing was fine but the spindle was spinning freely (it's been about a week so it's not a word for word quote). He ordered the part and it's been about a week and should be coming tomorrow. Part of me thinks he wanted to replace the whole spindle since it's faster vs bearing replacement and he wanted me to save money due to labor costs. (good guy). So my question is can spindles be damaged normally? Also how long does it take to replace the rear spindle assemble typically?
Thank-you in advance! :stafiseiz
